Els Vandevorst booked tremendous success already as a film student. The film Alaska (directed by Mike van Diem and produced by Els Vandevorst) won the student Oscar. This gave her career a jumpstart and since then she has thrived. Working both in the Netherlands as well as internationally, Vandevorst (co)produced movies out of Isabella Films and N279 Entertainment for acclaimed directors such as Lars von Trier, Alexander Sokurov, Thomas Vinterberg, Martin Koolhoven, Stijn Coninx, Ineke Smits, Ágnes Kocsis, Christophe van Rompaey, and Brian De Palma.

Writer/director Martin Koolhoven (1969) finished the Netherlands Filmacademy in 1996 and has been making films ever since. His movies have won many awards and his last five films have been box office hits in The Netherlands.
His movie Schnitzel Paradise was nominated for a Crystal Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, selected by Variety in their ‘Critic’s Choice’ and sold to many countries in the world, but nothing could have predicted the outrageous success of Winter in Wartime. The film was sold to many countries in the world and made the Oscar’s 9 movie short list (Foreign Language Academy Awards). 
Brimstone was his first English spoken movie and premiered in the main competition of the Venice Film Festival. The controversial western/thriller was sold to more than 80 countries in the world and played in many festivals, such as Toronto, London, Shanghai, Palm Springs and Hong Kong. Martin Koolhoven is currently writing his next movie.
